Reginald D. Pitchford, a native of Southern California, grew up in the city of Compton. While living in Compton, Reggie experienced many challenges, lost several childhood friends but through God’s grace and a praying Mother, God spared his life.
Reggie comes from a family of Pastors where his grandfather was a part of the Azusa Street Revival in the early 1900’s in Los Angeles, CA. Pastor Reggie’s grandmother (Momma Mason), was also the niece of Bishop Mason, who founded the Church of God in Christ. While in High School Reggie received the Lord and knew that God had a plan for his life.
Pastor Reggie was a standout athlete and received a football scholarship to Oregon State University. While at Oregon State, God place two former basketball players(Darryl Flowers & Eric Knox), as mentors in his life. After attending OSU, Reggie had the opportunity to play Professional Football and continues to incorporate a healthy lifestyle as a part of his daily routine.
Before accepting the call to pastor-ship, Reggie and Marlisa headed. up the youth and young adults Ministry under the leadership of Pastor Ed Smith and First Lady Vanessa While serving as leaders, God caused the Youth and Young Adults Ministry to average more than five hundred plus weekly attendance. It was in 2009 that Pastor Reggie and Lady Marlisa responded to the call to pastor and in January, 2010, CROSS CENTERED MINISTRIES was born. Pastor Reggie, will complete his Master program at the University of La Verne in 2014 with a 3.90 average.
A native of Southern of California, Marlisa received the Lord at a young age where she learned more about the Lord in Bible study thought by the late Ethel Bennifield.
Growing up in the Church of God in Christ gave Marlisa a spiritual foundation where she learned to trust the Lord and discovered her purpose. It was at Zoe Christian Fellowship of Whittier, under the leadership of Pastor Ed Smith that Lady Marlisa learned to walk out her purpose serving faithfully in various ministries.
After working as a certified shorthand reporter for several years, she went back to school to earn a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nutrition and Food Science from the University of California, San Bernardino and a Master’s degree in Public Health Nutrition from Loma Linda University, where she also completed her dietetics internship.
In addition Marlisa became a state board certified Registered Dietitian in October, 2008. Her passion is to empower those who desire a healthier lifestyle by making healthy eating choices and incorporating a regular physical activity regimen.
She enjoys working out with weights and running marathons and finding ways to eat healthier.
